How to get your Tableau Online Sandbox?

Guide for getting Tableau Online for DataDev Developers

Hi, I am a Tableau DataDev Ambassador, and I want to show you how to get your own Tableau Online site to practice and learn with the Tableau Developer Tools (APIs, VizExtensions, etc.).

For the first step, you need to go to https://www.tableau.com/tableau-login-hub and Sign In or Create an account using one of the 3 methods:

1. Tableau Cloud
2. Tableau.com
3. Tableau Public

In my case, I will create a new account using the second option by the Tableau.com portal. Click in Sign In To Tableau.com, and It will ask you for:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email
• Password
• Confirm Password

You will receive a confirmation email with a 48-hour expiration link to validate it. Click on the link and Sign In with your email at https://id.tableau.com/

After you Sign In, you will see a confirmation message that you are logging in. Now, go to https://www.tableau.com and see your name in the right corner.
